About Dr. Crystal
Licensed in California (PSY 32837) and Arizona (PSY 005808), Dr. Crystal (she/her/hers) is a clinical psychologist specializing in treating psychological trauma, anxiety, depression and addiction through methods grounded in current research and a whole person approach. Additionally, using an LGBTQ-affirmative lens, she recognizes sexual and gender diversity as natural forms of self-expression often hindered by oppressive societal norms.
Drawing on a foundation of healthy attachments as well as cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapy and a blend of other evidence-based treatments, Dr. Crystal provides practical methods to help you reconnect with your authentic and layered self, your loved ones, and your surroundings. Her approach in therapy is centered on addressing your needs and empowering you to live the life you envision, one that’s based on your values and creating a life worth living. She is here to assist you in developing healthy coping skills that work for you as you navigate life and embrace being fully and imperfectly human.
She became a psychologist after many years working in the corporate sector where she was keenly aware that individuals were quieting parts of themselves or feeling shame about identity or mental health. Building upon a degree and background in business, Dr. Crystal received her masters in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University and completed her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University, California School of Professional Psychology.
She has worked in college counseling and psychological services settings, community mental health, private practice, detox, inpatient, residential and intensive outpatient treatment, and for the Los Angeles LGBT Center.
