This specialty provides comprehensive gender-affirming care assessments in alignment with the standards outlined by the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) Standards of Care Version 8 (SOC-8).
Services include thorough, compassionate, and individualized letters to support individuals seeking gender-affirming medical needs, including hormone therapy and surgical procedures.
Assessments are conducted within a trauma-informed, affirming, and culturally responsive framework that prioritizes autonomy, informed consent, and collaborative care. The process focuses on ensuring readiness, providing appropriate documentation when indicated, and supporting clients in navigating medical systems with clarity and confidence, collaborating with the medical team and/or insurance provider, if needed.
The goal is to offer clinically sound evaluations while honoring each individual’s identity, lived experience, and personal goals without gatekeeping.
